COVER YOUR VEGETABLES! A cold front is moving in. Last season Sub Zero won their ninth Regional Championship and twelfth bid to the National Championship. Nationals proved to be a wonderful and humbling experience with a 15th place finish. Let's get frosty!

2012 Open Events and Tryouts: |

Sub Zero and Climax are co-hosting open events on Saturday April 28st, through Saturday June 2nd. Each Saturday, come out for open scrimmages from 10-Noon at Bryn Mawr. Anyone looking for a competitive game of ultimate is welcome, we are hoping to coordinate with other local teams (both open and mixed) to increase the number of opportunities for all players to be seen before a formal try-out process initiates. Again, these scrimmages are open to any players interested in playing high level ultimate for a local club team, and for those of you interested in Sub Zero, provide a number of chances to introduce yourself to the Sub Zero captains. On Saturday June 2nd, we will be holding an Open Hat Tournament from 9am-2:30pm likely at Bosson Park. This is an event for any open players to warm up for the summer season, build community among open players in the metro area, and play in a fun competitive atmosphere. If you are an open player interested in playing club ultimate this season, this is a great opportunity to talk to local team captains about the forthcoming seasons. First round of official tryouts will be invite only, beginning June 9th-10th. Other closed tryouts are scheduled to happen Wednesday June 13th and Sat/Sun June 16th-17th. Make sure to attend one of the many open events described above if you're introducing yourself to Sub Zero for the first time. We are looking for team oriented players who are athletic and want to work hard for a rewarding season. On defense, we want players who can generate d's, pressure one-on-one match-ups, and learn new approaches. On offense, we are looking for players who make smart decisions with the disc and play as a team unit. Any players wishing to tryout who are playing at college nationals (or arriving in the metro area after the open events are done) should e-mail the captains via
